The Institute’s mission is to identify the fundamental bases of the etiology and pathogenesis of human hereditary diseases; to develop and implement advanced technologies for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of hereditary and congenital pathologies; to train and develop human resources in the field of medical genetics; and to promote medical genetics as a priority independent discipline that will shape the future of biomedical science.
The Institute’s activities include conducting fundamental and applied scientific research, providing high-tech and specialized medical and genetic care to the population, implementing educational programs in the field of medical genetics, and providing methodological and coordination support to medical and genetic services in Siberia and the Far East.
