About us

The Institute’s mission and activities focus on conducting fundamental, exploratory, and applied preclinical and clinical research in the fields of pharmacology and regenerative medicine. This involves identifying promising pharmacological targets and developing new medicinal products aimed at reducing morbidity and improving quality of life, work capacity, and active longevity.

Currently, fundamental and applied research (including clinical studies) is being conducted in the following priority areas

Pharmacological reprogramming of the processes involved in the repair of tissues affected by pathological conditions and in cellular senescence, including through the modulation of drug biotransformation and pharmacokinetics;

Educidation of the principles and mechanisms governing the function of regeneration-competent cells and the development of novel approaches to the epigenetic regulation of their activity, aimed at stimulating tissue repair and correcting the processes of organismal aging;

Identification of potential targets by studying the pathogenesis of socially significant diseases, and the development—based on these targets—of new multimodal drugs of natural and synthetic origin, including those produced using genomic, post-genomic, bio-, and nanotechnologies;

Study of the mechanisms and patterns underlying the development of dysregulatory diseases, and the search for and investigation of new pharmacologically active substances for their prevention and treatment;

Conducting clinical studies aimed at generating new knowledge regarding the etiology, pathogenesis, prevention, and treatment of socially significant diseases, in order to develop innovative diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, evaluate them, and subsequently translate them into clinical practice;

Conducting preclinical and clinical (phases I, II, III, and IV) studies of new (including generic) medicinal products; conducting trials (including clinical trials) of dietary supplements, functional foods, methods (agents) for prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, non-pharmacological treatment methods, medical devices and diagnostic agents, and personal hygiene products; and conducting work to assess their quality and compliance with established standards.
